Seriously?

We have a babysitter coming over today so I explained to Erik that I traded carpool days “cause you know how complicated the pick-up line is at Gabriel’s school.”

“No, I don’t.” Erik replied. “I don’t even know where Gabe’s school is.”

I was stunned. My mind raced through the various days of registration, orientation, parties and parent-teacher conferences, not to mention taking him to and from EVERY day. Erik had been either at work, out of town or driving another child around every time.

Wow, I guess that’s the price of having 6 children in five different schools– some details slip through the cracks. But I do think I’ll be taking Erik on a little field trip this weekend. “Turn left, now right. There’s the school; park here; that’s his classroom door….”

ah Michelle, I finally got chance to catch up with your blog! I always feel so much more settled and at peace with my life reading about yours, you seem so together and yet real, which is truely amazing with your 6 kids. I am in awe of the fact you have 6 kids all at a different school! I am barely coping with one kid a school. And I died laughing at the shot gun shell story! I love it! And your pictures of Miss Grace oh my amazing!

So I want to say thank you for sharing bits of your life with us. I means a lot to me sister!
