Nanette

  • Nov 13, 2008
I met darling 5-week-old Nanette through her Aunt Emily who stalks my blog. Goodness, is there anything more fun than meeting someone who reads your blog and LIKES it? It’s this strange sort of validation that maybe I am really an OK person. Emily set up this photoshoot for her sister who was visiting from California and the whole thing was so comfortable because Emily gives off this old friend, happy sort of vibe. Still, she is in trouble for two reasons:

1. She never says ‘hello’ when she visits my blog.
2. She doesn’t have a blog of her own so that I can stalk HER!

So if anyone else is out there, come forward and say hello!

OK, friends, we have to be nice here. No one can hate Kaitlin (Nanette’s mommy) for being so breathtakingly, drop dead gorgeous. Cause she’s just as nice as she is beautiful. I promise.

Ok, we definitely want pics of little linkous #3 in that basket! ๐Ÿ™‚ Beautiful pictures as always, and you don’t need this blog to know that you are one of the very best women on this earth. I’m so thankful to have such a great friend.

    Oh, my. These are beautiful!

You are going to have to come tell my husband why I am having a case of the baby hungries just looking at these.

Either that, or remind me that babies require more work and come with a “please take care of this child for many, many years” tag attached.

That’s it–I’m having another baby just so you can take pictures of it.

Love the pic of the baby on the shelf. So cute! (And I thought I was the only one who kept their babies there.)

Hi, well since you asked, I have to come forward. I found your blog from one of your posts on Segullah, and keep coming back. I love your photography, it is really inspiring and I love reading about your family and friends, it helps me with my homesickness for Utah. We just moved to Pennsylvania from Holladay and a lot of the people you write about remind me of people I know there. I guess I don’t know where you really live, but I like to imagine it is just down the street from where we used to live.

It’s hard not to be a hater! Beautiful mommy, beautiful baby, and beautiful photos!

I completely enjoyed your “messy life” post too – and it’s really a pity that Harrison can’t live close enough to play Playmobil at your house!

Hello! I love the photos of Nanette. Such a fun experience to see you in action. I knew I wasn’t the only lurker. I’m waiting for the day when you hold Photoshop Fridays at your home (or mine for that matter). You are amazing. Until then maybe I’ll have to crash your scripture study group. thanks for everything!

“So if anyone else is out there, come forward and say hello!”

Michelle, I too stalk you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I look forward to your posts every day and must admit that I feel a little disappointed when I don’t see a new one. Your blog has substance, which is why I consistently come back for more. (Unlike some blogs, that represent a blogger’s alter-ego, ‘nough said…)

You have many gifts and writing is definitely one of them. You have a way of expressing yourself through your craft that surely connects with everyone- that is a powerful ability. Our lives are very different, although we share common ground in many ways. Through this glimpse into your life and through your daring honesty, your personal revelations, confessions and inspiration, you’ve become one of my very good friends whom I shall honor forever. You’ve brought me to tears on many occasions, your posts are thought provoking and they are a good source of shock therapy to help me get real with myself.

You have a bold spirit, mighty enough to fill a room and bust it at its seams. You are a beautiful person and have a beautiful life, and you deserve all the good things that life has to offer.

I have never left a comment, but have wanted to many times. I am an ALL or nothin’ kind of girl… and I shall retreat back to my mute state, but know that I am here to celebrate your triumphs, share your sorrows and evolve along with you (although, at a much slower pace). -Karyn
