buried with a stake of holly through his heart

When my children are grown and gone, I’m pretty sure I’ll still wander over to the local preschool and elementary to watch the Christmas programs.

Aren’t you glad to know they are still performing “A Christmas Carol” in public schools? Really, we don’t need to fear for the world. These kids are awesome.

Lucky Xander was cast as Ebenezer Scrooge and he’s been rehearsing his lines for weeks

His favorite line BY FAR–“If I could work my will, every idiot who goes about with ‘Merry Christmas’ on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. He should!

here’s some fine acting
All the little kids shrieked when the Ghost of Christmas Future floated on stage.
“I will change. You’ll see. I will be kind and generous and I shall care for the poor, I will!
dinner with Fred
taking a bow– love that blonde hair
God Bless Us, Every One!”

p.s. I was reading the paper this morning and spotted last Friday’s blog post in Mormontimes— which, while always fun, was a complete surprise (I submitted it, but never heard back from them.).

No, sadly in our state there is no mention of Dickens’ classic tale nor any elementary school productions of it. It makes me sad – I wish they would!

    Congrats on the article! Hooray!

And I’m impressed with the play; tell Xander I can tell he’s a great actor, even through just pictures. 🙂

What beautiful children. How come my school play pics never look like that? And you took these in the horribly lit multi-purpose room of our school??!! Most impressive M. I can’t believe we missed the article being published. We’ll need to celebrate with more Red Mango. Yeah!

We do A Christmas Carol here in our elementary school, too.

Xander looks so cute–but too cute and happy to be scroogish!

When I look at Xander, I see your brother Kenny’s face. It looks like playing Scrooge was some serious work — and great fun!
