seeing red

  • Nov 30, 2009

We returned home from San Diego last night to find our house lit up, the Utah fight song blasting from our neighbor’s porch and a small army of Ute fans to greet us (yeah, the same crew that got our yard last year).

They got us. They got us good.

But it was impossible to be angry; we could only admire their artistry– a twenty-foot duct tape U on the driveway, red bulbs replacing our porch lights, flower pots filled with confetti and red candy, trees bedecked with crimson ornaments, twinkling red lights framing our door and strewn across our bushes and rose arch.

I thought the bows were a nice touch.
Look! They took our blog and used it against us!

note the twinkling lights
that’s not how you spell our last name– but the evil genius who found our 2 year old photo on Shutterfly is pretty impressive.
a red pumpkin? who came up with that?

Revenge seemed futile. How could we possibly match or exceed our clever foes?

Turned out BYU enacted revenge for us.

26-23 Gooooooooo Cougars!

Sorry guys, maybe next year.

We caught the army of red soldiers in action. I must say they out did themselves. The pictures were hilarious. It would take someone with the initials J.D. to be so clever.

Wasn’t that last play in overtime awesome?

Duct tape! Ah-ha! From the grainy Facebook photo it looked like paint and I couldn’t believe it!

The photoshopped pics of your family are a hoot. 🙂

Those are some serious fanatics! Looks like you have some fun (and energetic) neighbors.

It was good to see you yesterday. I was supposed to be home but once the antibiotics kicked in and Lulu’s therapy began the only thing to do was go to Anthropologie:)

Man, you guys aren’t going to get them back!? I know that it probably wouldn’t be quite as astoundingly artistic as your house, but they still deserve revenge…even if the cougars won. 🙂

That was one hilarious post! Loved it!

I think BYU winning was revenge enough, right? Ahh, justice! The Duds ought to feel a little sheepish right now. I know they love the rivalry though.

I’m a little behind in my blogging, but I just had to chime in and say this was fantastic. I’m a cougar myself. I just love young men. Their strong, tight bodies. . . . Oh wait, that’s not the kind of cougar you’re talking about, is it? Nevermind then.
