Poor Erik, all he wanted for his birthday was a ticket out of our cold, grey days and off to a warmer clime.

We did the best we could. šŸ™‚

Overcast skies and all, it was a fantastic day; we’re grateful that he’s snug at home with us.

p.s. We’re halfway through birthday season at our house! Cake anyone?

We love you Erik! Not only are you one of the funnest Dads around but a great role model for me. I remember when you were still living in the Pepperwood ward and I always thought,” that’s the kind of Dad I want to be!” And if my girls turn out half as good as your kids I will feel like I succeeded as a father. Even though we don’t do much together other than our families getting together, I still value your friendship and hope you don’t mind that I consider you one of my good buddies. Afterall a great indicator of the kind of person you are is that people that meet and know you want to be around you!
Happy Birthday Erik and thanks for being a great “older brother” role model and friend to me!
