a little assistance

I’ve just returned from an incredible girls’ camp that, despite a torrential rainstorm, was practically perfect in every way.

And my darling Ben, in addition to reraising the tents in our backyard to dry, wrote a post on Segullah for me today.

I like it. I love him.

Beautiful words. I had to come back again this afternoon and re-read his post. You have done well there, mama. That is one fantastic kid.

You are an amazing mom. His post was incredible. As a previously very fast girl in high school – I wish I had met a sweet boy.

What wisdom. Absolutely beautiful. By the way, this is totally selfish of me to even ask the following, but since I know there would be dozens of other women who would benefit, I am daring to ask. I have four boys, and I am behind you about 6 years in your parenting journey. And, I am becoming petrified as I begin raising adolescents. I see the goodness and sweetness in your sons’ faces. I was absolutely blown away by your son Ben’s words. I am just wondering what you do to raise such boys. Raising boys is something that perplexes so many of us. So, I’m just wondering if sometime (whenever…months down the road or even never if it sounds too overwhelming) you might be able to share some words of wisdom in a post about raising boys. You are amazing. And, I appreciate all that you share on this blog. So, even if such a post is not something you want to engage in, I love everything you share here.

    Michelle,

Ben is an inspiration! Tell him thanks again for the post. I have two sons, both in their teens and agreed with everything Ben wrote.
