last night they slept under the tree

and woke up to a game of Candyland

everyone ate their last advent chocolate– except Gabe who left it for Santa with a note: “EAT the 24 on the calender.”

the angel is in her place
Lucy is obsessed with the sledders– this was my mother’s Christmas village.
Stefan has his gift for me all wrapped up. Hmm, I don’t like that shape. I may be a Utah Republican but I detest guns.
the boys are sledding down the stairs
while Mary watches the snow (OK, this was a blatant attempt to photograph my favorite outfit).

Ben is putting the final touches on a homemade gift.
Dipping Oreos and macaroons.

You want one. You do. Again, more decorations from my mother’s stash.

my favorite red bird ornament– it took me about 50 attempts to get this in focus.

stirring up toffee (a few days ago, but how could I leave it out?)
Watching this over and over.

Merry Christmas to all! May your hearts and homes be blessed.

I’m glad that my kids aren’t the only ones who male giant slides down the stairs. Your house looks so magical and loving. I’m guessing it’s not always like that but it seems that way. Jealous.
P.S. Still waiting to hear about Mary’s clothes 😉

Nothing wrong with taking pictures of darling clothes on darling little girls. Your pictures are amazing as usual and I am still always inspired by your writing. Merry Christmas!
Mathmom and family
Every picture is a treasure as always. Now I want stairs in my house so we can sled, too! Tell your boys that they are wearing my favorite apron.
