an East Millcreek Hallowe’en

I wish I could gift you all with a Halloween in my neighborhood. From Jon, next door, who rides his witch costume to work in the morning (scaring me half to death as I walked Mary to school) to my friends on the other side who host the entire neighborhood for soup and hot chocolate before trick-or treating– everyone makes an effort to create delight, laughter, a few scares. No one personifies this cheerful attitude better than Susannah, above, who wore one shoe backward on her new prosthetic leg. She just wants to make you smile.

(these are the easiest tutus in the world to make– we just tied strips of tulle around an elastic waistband)

What a clever Van Gogh! I’m excited to spend next Halloween in the area; we are living in my in-laws’ house while they are on their mission. You guys are welcome to play with my baby 🙂

I love the homage to Doctor Who, and the fairies, and Hans’ face looking at the laughing girl!

And I was always sure Gabe’s hair had super powers, flight obviously being only one of them 🙂
