I’m not even going to try to fool you today. Blog readers are savvy people and it’s way too late in the day to pull a fast one on you. My kids are so tuned into the holiday that they are pretty much unfoolable too. I did announce that we were getting a sweet kitty in a few weeks; but I actually hope to talk Erik into making that a reality.
Ben reminded me of an April Fool’s when he was 8 and I convinced him I was getting a belly-button ring. He was horrified! It’s a good thing I’ve never shown him any of my tattoos.
Waiting in the counseling office for a schedule change at school today Ben saw a mother rush in who was obviously panicked. They called her daughter down to the office and the mother erupted into tears. Her daughter had sent a text message saying she was pregnant. OK, some jokes are NOT funny!
I told the kids we were having broccoli, brussel sprout, lima bean soup for dinner but served a totally chocolate dinner instead– chocolate waffles, chocolate whip cream, chocolate syrup and hot chocolate. Erik is still spinning from the sugar rush.

But Ginger is my favorite! I wanted to keep her…but my mom’s allergic, so it would be almost impossible to convince her to keep one. So you can take her/him, as long as you take good care of him/her and feed her/him every day and let us come see him/her. Okey doke? That is, if you DO get a kitty.

What fun! I still don’t know what to believe about the kitten, but I will come visit to find out.
I love you!
