My darling friend Julie welcomed sweet baby Claire this summer. I hope I’m supportive of all my friends with babies, but I try to offer especial compassion to mothers having their fifth. I don’t want to be insensitive to those who desperately want more children– my own sister is aching for another, cute Mary is aching for her first– but I want to honor Julie and her husband for the love they offer and the sacrifices they make for their children. As a society we tend to be extremely supportive of first time parents and even second and third, but by the time a family has five babies, everyone seems to say, “ah, they’ve got this down.” For me, that was when I needed help the most. I’m grateful to you, Julie and Joel, for raising these beautiful little people; you make the world a sweeter place.
It’s too bad there aren’t two of you, Michelle, because you really do have an amazing gift with the camera. We could just assign your clone to spend all day every day shooting the world, and then we could see life through your lens and everything would always be perfect forever!
These are precious! ♥
These pictures are so beautiful I can hardly stand it. I was excited before, but you have me giddy over here, thinking I really can’t wait another minute. And what a sweet thing to say about someone having their fifth baby. That really touched me today. Thanks friend!
Mormon Women: Who We Are
I like Blue’s idea.
What a beautiful family. There’s nothing like a baby.
What a beautiful bunch of kids. And that baby! Oh my goodness, I want one!
