Ah the freedom to….

watch a parade,

wave to friends,

collect masses of candy,

steal candy from your brother,

make up your own games,

(Mary’s not in danger, I promise.)

and spend a lazy afternoon playing cards.

We’ve been listening to our own patriotic playlist( a mix of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and country music) and despite all the obvious tearjerkers, the song that makes me cry every time is Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue by Toby Keith(video link). I admit I try to mute the naughty word every time but I LOVE watching the troops go crazy.

God bless our soldiers. God bless the USA.

What a GREAT song, I’ve never heard that before…hmm…that’s the second country song I could fall in love with – who knew!

Your FOJ pictures are so cute, I love parades! Mary’s patchwork is divine!

I just watched the vid…and am wishing I had a copy of your patriotic song play list. Bunch was lamenting yesterday that her radio station (fm 100) didn’t play any patriotic songs all day yesterday…which I thought was odd. We didn’t have music on round here, and I miss it.

It was fun to see you yesterday. Wishing we weren’t ships passing in the night so much right now cause I’d love to hang out. Have a great trip and hopefully we will get together soon! ♥
