Do you have to be a vegetarian to be a veterinarian?

Upon hearing that we are raising chickens people give me a quizzical look– “But, why?”

They wouldn’t have to ask if they glimpsed my hens strolling the yard, clucking and gossiping.

And they would probably check the nesting boxes every day, just like Xander.

Eggzactly right.

The golden hen, Abby, is our champion layer at six eggs this week. They were delicious. We are still waiting for Patty and Delilah to supplement our breakfast.

    They aren’t stinky at all– just incredibly fresh. And yes, poor Xander, I only know how to do bowl cuts.
