Friends

Mary and Sarah are best friends, but since Mary is 9 months older she has a vast store of knowledge to share with little Sarah:

“If you want to be beautiful when you grow up, you hafta eat 3 popsicles every day.”

“Never, ever drink bathtub water. It comes straight from the ocean and it’s all salty!”

“My dad is the strongest because he’s chubby and fat.”

and of course…

“Cool girls always wear mismatched flip-flops. Matching is for babies.”

Because we are both insane, Ashli and I decided to take photos of the girls having a tea party in a field. By the time we loaded the car with table, chairs, tea set, blankets, cranky little girls etc. and drove to “This is the Place” we only had 10 minutes of daylight left.

This is the one shot I got of them together:

Miss Sarah is what we politely call “photographer’s torture.” She is heartbreakingly, breathtakingly beautiful, but she HATES the camera.

Still, we tricked her and captured some of her loveliness.

and Miss Mary…

The tea set never even made it out of the car. But it will happen someday. Trust me. Even if they are sixteen and can barely balance on the tiny chairs, it will happen.

You know I love these…photos that have anything to do with lovely little girls in frilly dresses and the mention of a tea party!!

Here it goes….a challenge….who gets the tea party photos first? I dont have access to lovely frilly dresses as nice as yours but I have girlie girls who would love the idea of a tea party! I am also challenged with one that hates the camera but I’m up for the battle if you are! Especially if the results are nearly as sweet as what you have here! Great job!!!!
