We didn’t get as much time together this conference with Hans in North Carolina, and Xander running the St. George Marathon (in 3:32! His first marathon!)
Erik and I managed to be everywhere at once, driving Xander down to St. George on Friday night, then driving home on Saturday morning. We were listening to conference on the way home (and watching on my phone) when Elder Jeremy R. Jaggi gave his beautiful talk: Humble Souls at Altars Kneel. “Ah, that’s the key,” I said to Erik, “he smiled through his whole talk and it made it so much better.”
But then, Elder Kevin G. Brown gave a completely umsmiling, but utterly beautiful talk on The Eternal Gift of Testimony. So, there’s no rule for giving a good talk in General Conference (except being Elder Holland).
We were home on time for all the conference traditions and plenty of baby snuggle time.
