grow old along with me

My sister has oft reminded me that it’s obnoxious to wax eloquent about my beautiful, muscled, gorgeous husband. But since he’s turning 40 today, I’ll take a moment to ponder the man sublime.

Not only does he give 007 a run for his money– but he

puts away his own laundry

and irons his shirts

bakes a mean batch of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies

trims tiny fingernails

does a fantastic rendition of Elmo

dances in the kitchen

shops at Costco

and hauls the loot into the house– OK, I’ll stop. Clearly, I’m bragging here. Here’s to a fantastic, chocolate-filled birthday.

Ah love, the best is yet to be!

The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith, “A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!”
