Last summer, my beautiful friend Brooke was wading through the grief of several late miscarriages–
and today her arms are full.
yes, that’s what a 9 lb. 9 oz. baby looks like.
Every newborn photo shoot is different– some babies love to curl in a basket, others need to be held, some are restless, while others can’t be woken. And there’s always a moment that I fear “I’m not going to figure it out this time!” before we settle into an easy flow.
Baby Jude was hungry. As a result we had time to photograph his delighted and delightful siblings. Aren’t they gorgeous?
p.s. I’ve turned down several families who want newborn photos lately. And I’m so sorry– it hurts my heart a little to say ‘no’, to pass up a new friendship. But I’m in over my head these days. Trust me, you want someone a little less scattered to photograph your family. 😉

Our Family brings us such great joy, and we have loved viewing these photos of our beloved Brooke and Aaron, Chloe, Luke, Tess and Jude, from faraway here in Argentina.
It´s so much the sweeter to know that baby Jude Evrett has finally arrived safely, through all the trials.
Thank you so much for sharing these Benton family photos with us.

Perhaps the best family shots I’ve seen – very well done!
Brooke is so beautiful as is her family. I am so happy for her, and your shots are perfect.
