Hope

Through eight years of infertility, Kit and Kevin told me they had a love/hate relationship with the numerous stories about young couples who’d struggled and now had a houseful of children. “I didn’t think the happy ending could happen to me,” said Kit, “but I always hoped.”

Hope feels like the perfect name for their new little love– their fifth baby in 6 3/4 years.

The Linkous house is wild and busy (can you guess how many exposures it took to get this one photo?), but Kit and Kevin enjoy every minute. And they inspire us to enjoy every minute with our children– who can place value on the worth of a soul? Of the beauty of Hope.

I didn’t take as many of Hope alone because we wanted photos with her siblings; I think it was a good trade-off.

Thanks for these and so many other precious moments you’ve caught for us as we speed through this whirlwind! I feel like these years are so important and I don’t have the time or talent to capture every little person and every little personality on camera. Thank you, sweet Michelle. We love you!
