When searching for an apple in the fruit drawer(none to be found!), Mary declared, “This refrigerator is a MESS!”
And then she spontaneously pulled out rags, Windex and the mini-vacuum and began to clean. It was surreal.
Later, when choosing a slightly more practical outfit for our rainy, cold weather she stood in front of her overstuffed closet and said, “I have too many fancies.”
She turned to me, “Really, mom you should be ashamed of yourself.”
I started to laugh.
“I’m not kidding, really.”

Girls are just so funny. You don’t get that kind of attitude (or crazy taste in clothes that don’t fit and don’t match) with a boy. I love it. She’s so cute!

Do you think she will continue with the cleaning spree? How cool would that be! So who has dibs on her clothes that are too small?

I love the picture of Lucy-Princess-Kitty-***** – that’s so cute! So is little Miss Mary. She’s such a sweet girl.

Ah yes, don’t little girls have a special way with words? But really, she’ll be your dearest friend someday (after Erik, naturally). I miss my Mom…

Some people are just slaves to fashion. Mary knows what looks good on her!

There is no such thing as too many fancies!

I’m glad my daughter is not the only one trying to “down” size. My Miss M has been trying to wear a 18 month swim suit everywhere – talk about embarassing! Now if I could only get her to clean! 🙂

Whatever your weakness is, kids have a way of exposing it, don’t they?
She is so very cute!
kitty, too.
