After so many months of waiting (the last few weeks took FOREVER), Mads made his way into the world through c-section (poor Sammie!), arriving on August 12th, at 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 21 inches long.
We are smitten ❤️ We can’t get over his adorable little features, his wise eyes, and the way he snuggles in perfectly for a nap. Fritz and Lars are wild about him and kiss him constantly.
Mads is a family name from Denmark, Crispian comes from the speech in Shakespeare’s Henry IV,
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember’d;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers…
Because with three, they now have a band of brothers ❤️
And Erik, lucky man, has two babies named after him in one summer: Anders has his middle names and Mads his first name.

The little boys picked out minis of their own favorite stuffies for Mads. I think he likes them.

We were lucky enough to take the little boys home (toothbrushes and all) for a sleepover.

Almost eight pounds is a perfectly respectable baby weight, but Mads looks tiny next to six-week old Anders!

ten days later…

Now just in case you’re thinking, “Wow, those little boys are so well behaved.” I should reveal that 99% of the photos looked more like this 😜
Aren’t they a beautiful little band of brothers? ❤️
