“Mom, mom! We’re performing the Christmas story at church and I’m one of the wise guys!”

After a scratching fight with Lucy: “I wish I had a human sister and not just a kitty sister.”

“Do you think I could get cough medicine for Christmas? Cause I keep coughing at night.” (Who knew she was so practical?)

When decorating our oh-so tall Christmas tree, Erik told her, “You’ll have to choose between a star on the tree or an alive daddy.”

Mary- “I choose the star.”

And at bedtime last night, “I’m afraid Santa isn’t going to bring me any presents.”

“Why sweetie?”

“Cause I’ve been so, so naughty this year.”

And I laughed and hugged her and told her she’s also been very, very good.

Hey-I just got my Creating Keepsakes magazine in the mail today. You’re famous! I assume you know about the shutterfly ad on p. 35. Amazing. Thanks for your inspiration!

I know the look on her face. It’s a look I’ve seen many, many times at my house. It’s the look that says, “Mother!”
