In an effort to be slightly less December-stressed, I’m taking Christmas card photos with just two kids at a time this year. Two kids are about 1/10 the craziness of six and my plan has the added benefit of buying just one sweater for the big boys to share. Xander and Hans are on hold while we search for Hans’ sweater( I’m afraid it was unwittingly place in the Goodwill bag) and poor Stefan– he’s so patient and Mary gave us exactly 68 seconds before running back to the car.
But we hit paydirt with Ben and Gabriel. Gorgeous evening light and our fabulous friend Roger (note how he’s converted to BYU blue) allowed us the use of his tractor.

After a lifetime of being told , “You look just like your mom!” Ben finally looks more like Erik. He’s relieved.

love this

Look at Gabe clinging to Ben. Just two minutes ago Ben was my first grader with bowl cut hair and angel eyes. Sniff.

out of focus– but I love it!

“Thanks Roger!”

Hi Michelle~ I texted you this morning but I wasn’t sure I had your cell phone or home phone#
There I was, in the dentist waiting room looking at Domino magazine, when I flipped to a two-page spread ad featuring you and your fabulous Shutterfly book. I knew you were their digital darlings but didn’t know you were their print ad focus too! I was so happy to see your smiling faces 🙂

Wherever did you find such a great prop?

You do realize that your outtakes are better than most people’s best pictures, right?
I need some advice. I think I’ll email you. Lens troubles and such.

I think Ben has a fair amount of both of you. He’s a cute big brother.
