Gabe and Mary sleeping between my bed and the wall. They’ll do anything to sleep in my room for a few hours.
Lucy just took a bath and Mary joins her in the final grooming.
Gabe taking a break from playing rabid bunny chase. Yes, that’s MY iPod. He thinks he owns it.
A little attitude with your cupcake?

Lucy in one of her favorite perches. I think she feels safe up there.
Mary with her sticker earrings. These are an obsession.
Stalking the green mouse– Lucy’s obsession.
“I’m ready for church, mom!”
Gabe supervising the Sunday afternoon waffle making.
The waffle maker arrived around his birthday and since it was a sparse year for presents we let him believe it was a birthday gift.
Now we have to ask his permission every week, “Gabriel, may I use your waffle maker?”
He always says yes.
Hanging out in the chair fort. Hmm, this photo frankly frightens me.
Our saddest condolences to those of you who are already back in school. We’ll think of you as we hike, swim, eat popsicles and sleep in and do a whole lot of nothing during this last beautiful week of freedom.

i love how you habitually photodocument your life! I drag my camera around with me, always thinking I’ll remember to take pictures, only to take it home empty 90% of the time. And this on Birthday Weekend!
Excuse me whilst I go prepare for the Actual Celebratory Day of the Blessed Event now. [Yawn] (and thank you for the happy little diversion with your cutenesses. Lucybellpiratekitty sure is getting big! ♥ to my beautiful friend…I miss you!

That looks like a perfect weekend!

Goodness, those are some lovely photos of Miss Mary! Her eyes are radiant. And what a generous little boy you have raised in Gabriel. To unselfishly share his waffle maker with the family. LOL
I love these glimpses into your beautiful family.

So when does everyone go back to school? I do on September 2.

I really enjoyed this post. This is what I like most about your blog. Seeing lots of pictures of my nieces and nephews doing ordinary stuff. Ruth
