Snapshots

Miss Mary was in need of some serious spoiling today. We FINALLY went to the ribbon store and bought supplies to make headbands.

The perfect accessory for the hair-challenged.

Ever since Mary gave her outgrown squeaky shoes away a few months ago she has wanted a new pair. They had one pair left in the store: bright red, size 9– perfect! And yes, they squeak with every step she takes. Love it.

Not everyone had such a good attitude about today’s snowstorm. Ugh, and it’s going to be cold for yet another week.

Our first tulip bloomed today– only to be frozen by the harsh reality of crazy spring weather.

Xander is getting ready for the Pinewood Derby and Erik convinced him that dancing around the table would make the paint on his car dry faster. If nothing else, it’s good entertainment for the rest of us.

Ready for the races to begin…

Gabriel started the first heat.

Hans was really into it.

And even the little girls started races.

Astonishingly(since we have NEVER had a winning car in our family), Xander made it to the finals.

Third place! We are all amazed.

Could be worse…you could be married to a CPA. My sister’s husband was a CPA (before becoming an orthodontist) and she had a baby on April 15th. I guess that put the priorities in order, no?

We are in need of a 3 step program for the hair challenged – which Mary’s is not! 🙂 She is beautiful! How do you make her cute headbands, bows, etc?

Wow! I love all the headbands. You amaze me – so many hidden talents. We love pipsqueaks too – although I don’t think ours ever had the squeakers!

We are hair challenged as well. I would love to have a little how-to on the headbands…very cute! I LOVE your pictures. Love them. What lens are you using inside? It is really hard to get decent pictures inside for me. And way to go on third place! That is awesome!
