Finally finished Northridge packets– and he’ll probably graduate!
Last year at this time, I was a bit smug about NOT having a senior. Attending many of these events and knowing I had one more year left with my boy at home. But this year… well, just mention graduation and I’ll probably start to cry. I’m like a glass a water filled to the brim– jostle me even a little and I’ll spill over.
The other day I was obsessing about finding the right shirt for graduation and broke down sobbing. I realized I didn’t care about what he was wearing; I was just mourning the end of this era. I still have mothering to do. All my kids still need me. Gabe and Mary have so much going on (and more about them soon). But everything changes once a child graduates….
Below you’ll see a hodgepodge a photos from some of the ‘lasts.’ Xander’s especially proud of the ‘SOW Cold Open’ (Jimmy Fallon themed) video and we’re ALL proud of our friend Ryan who won the MVP Orchestra award. And I’m not sure why I included a slideshow of snow on roses from last week, but it’s kind of lovely and fits my mood. Besides, I love this new slider feature…

Many lasts- and many firsts straight ahead 🙂 I say this as I struggle with my eldest going off to college this September. My heart aches at the thought of not being a full-time mother.
