some goals are loftier than others…

and Erik’s resolution to convert his blood to 60% dark chocolate is a mighty task.

Did you know there’s a $2.50 coupon off Lindt balls at Costco right now? Did you know there’s no limit on how many bags you buy?

Okay did you make your son a doughnut with all that chocolate? And I feel slightly wimpy because I’ve only tried the “regular” dark lindt balls.

I cannot believe your husband bought an entire case!!!

Have you ever let a Lindt ball melt in your mouth on your tongue and wonder why the smooth center feels cooler in temperature?

Mmmmm… I love dark chocolate and secretly hope it doesn’t have as many calories as milk chocolate… mmmm… I might have to make a trip to costco.

Now there’s a resolution I could get behind. (p.s. Whenever I go to Costco, I remember your post about Erik does your Costco shopping.)

Too funny, this post (that’s my Yoda voice.) Because just last night, we passed the Lindt store in the mall and Rachel said to me, “Mom, did you ever get sick from eating too many Lindt truffles?”

I was silent. Then before I could even respond she said, “Yeah, me neither. Who could get sick off those? They’re too, too delicious.”

Yes, Erik walked in with both donuts AND chocolate from Costco and inspired a resounding chorus of “dad is great – feeds us chocolate cake!”

And besides his chocolate obsession he’s a very healthy eater and exerciser so it somehow evens out.

Christie– are you thinking he would share these with you on a visit? Ha!

I have an extra coupon for Costco if anyone wants it.

As for my weight, I am not up to 400 pounds yet but I did miss my goal of 208 pounds in 2008 by 8 pounds. And I thought the number 8 was lucky. No problem, my new goal is 209 pounds in 2009. Maybe I will actually reach my goal in 10 years.

Dieting tip of the day – don’t eat more than 12 Lindt balls in one day. I hit the limit before 10 AM but my resolve is strong. I once ate an entire 50 piece bag in one day and felt surprisingly sluggish. I won’t do that again. I’m hoping this stash lasts through April. That’s only 5/day without sharing. I better find a good hiding place.

So funny you mention those. I saw them in the add the other day and I thought to myself, I’ve GOT to have these. I swear, they’re like a little piece O’ heaven that melts in the mouth ;).

Totally bummed! They don’t have that coupon at our Costco here in Minneapolis! I may have to go back and pay full price.
I’m betting on early March that those bad boys are gone…
