Summer and the death of ambition + the playlist

I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I had such good intentions and then I disappeared. Thanks for your notes and emails; I’m flattered that anyone missed me and my ramblings. How’s our summer? It’s been good and busy and messy and chaotic and hard. But mostly good. I’m feeling completely unambitious and just content to help whoever is in front of me at the moment. And that’s a good feeling.

But I have lots to write about, and I will. For today, I’m offering up our summer playlist and our July 4th video. I’m experimenting with the idea of sending Xander a 1 minute video every week (or every two weeks) rather than trying to make spectacular videos. We’ll see how that goes. There are so many ways to spend my time (and waste my time), but whenever I see my kids reading and laughing at old posts and videos I’m grateful for all the time and love I’ve poured into this blog. So here’s to recording more of our happy moments, savoring every beauty, expressing more gratitude and recognizing God’s hand in our lives.
