Miss Abby visited me between rain showers on June 12th (yes, I am that far behind); I was depressed and overwhelmed that day and almost canceled on her. But she filled my garden with music and laughter as she played Bach under my rose arch and willingly sat on the wet grass.
Without her presence would I have caught the sunlight in the grass? Would I have noticed the pink and yellow roses forming an arch in the back yard and the deliciously intoxicating scent of the honeysuckle beside it? Would I have spent an hour with Abby’s mother, Kay, hearing exactly the words I needed?
People are the most addictive part of photography– it’s not the amazing backgrounds, or the yummy lenses or the fantastic tricks in Photoshop– it’s meeting and talking and learning to love people.
Darn, wish I had time to meet everyone.

Just gorgeous!
Those eyes are stunning – just like your photos.
I hope you’ve marked my boys in PEN in your diary for next summer!
