Our weekend began and ended with visits from Princess Grace.
Everyone loves Gracie-girl, but Erik and Hans are her true servants. Grace is the kind of baby every momma dreams of– peaceful, chubby, sleepy, smiley perfection. I was holding her after church yesterday and Hans said, “C’mon mom. She’s all ours. Let’s make a break for it.”Sadly, Ashli headed us off at the door and took sweet Gracie back.
Darn, I bet she never would have found us.

At Stefan’s insistence we headed up to the canyon Saturday night for a cookout. Even at 14 his greatest pleasures in life are building fires and finding big sticks. Ben and Xander were attending other festivities.
It’s hard to burn those papers when you find comics you haven’t read yet.
Ready to roast. Grandpa Ken bought Gabriel this fabulous eagle hat. Um thanks, I think.

Ben and Stefan’s Sunday night quartet rehearsal turned into a spontaneous ice cream party. Before we knew it we had 5 families over and 19 kids involved in a massive water fight. I tried to take pictures of the craziness and gave up after this one shot(have to protect the camera, ya’ know).
Child #20 remained safely on the patio and filled the hungry arms of all the mommas who never had quite enough babies to love.

Sadly I never got to hold the Princess. Human or feline. Though I’m not complaining about the feline. I’m finally starting to feel “normal” again in my own home. It’s such a relief!
Thanks again for a fantastic end to the day. It was perfect.
