tis the day before Christmas…

and the house is in an uproar. The intoxicating combination of holiday excitement, masses of refined sugar and all six kids out of school has resulted in more fighting, bumps, scrapes and tears than usual. But home is also filled with inestimable sweetness….

dancing to Christmas carols

Ben taking over my camera

playing Nativity

last minute deliveries

decorating

cutting and chopping

setting the timer (an act so unusual it had to be caught on film- I’m more of a bake-by-feel-not-by-the-numbers sort of girl)

catching drips

checking for safe passage

waiting by the door while daddy wraps presents

and thinking of YOU.

May you have a blessed and joyful Christmas!

Love it. The one of PirateLucyBellKitty is so sweet. She really did turn out to be the perfect choice. And I’m so glad you took my favorite one! 🙂

We’re excited to head out to the airport to pick up my sister in a few hours. And I’m officially “done” with preparations. Even though I didn’t get to cards or neighbor gifts this year, I hope you know how grateful I am for you and all you have added to my life this year. and all your family has added to my family. Precious are the tender mercies that come into our lives…and you are a magnificent TM in mine.

What a joyous time of year- especially JUST being with family.
We had a great trip to UT and is hard to be back in NJ. I wanted to call you before I left but it was CRAZY as ever. I will call you in a few days after things calm down a bit so we can figure things out. So great to meet you and wish I had a friend like you around to play with. I am dying to hear about your new LOVE. Fill me in friend. Have a marvelous day with your family- enjoy the simplicity of being together (that is what has brought me pure joy).

    hugs.

“I’m more of a bake-by-feel-not-by-the-numbers sort of girl” – I remember the days when we used the smoke alarm as an oven timer.
