Erik likes to keep his hands free.

“This water is freezing!”

John is anti-water but a dedicated sandcastle builder.

Even the big boys love to dig.

And throw rocks.

OK, we’re getting cold here. Our hands and feet got numb from the frigid water.

When we make our millions we are moving to La Jolla. My little brother lived up on the clifs there for a few years. We fell in love with the location, so fun! Your pictures are beautiful but I guess that’s easy when you have children as good looking as yours.

That looks like SO MUCH FUN! We have super cold water on the east coast too so I can relate! It’s about 59 degrees now, which is much better than the 48 degrees it was at the beginning of the summer!
The photo of the buried boy is my favorite – love it!

    Okay, I have to know.

How do you combat the harsh sunlight at the beach? Are you underexposing? Do you have a hood on the end? What type of lens do you use? Every time I take pics at the beach, the sun is so bright overhead that everyone looks washed out and harsh. Yours are warm and cozy. Do tell. Please.
