with apologies to all boy moms

Yes, yes, we adore our boys. But you can’t put your little men in matching dresses, hand them parasols and watch them twirl in an orchard. I recommend borrowing a niece or a neighbor.

Oh, I know. I know.

These gorgeous sisters are just as sweet as they are beautiful and did whatever I asked. It was a little surreal.

Gracie, 7, is thinking about donating her long blonde curls to Locks for Love and her mother thought it might be nice to photograph them first. Can you imagine the delight of the little girl who receives a wig made from that hair?

And darling Daphne, is (if I remember correctly) turning 3 today. Happy Birthday little cutie.

Gorgeous photos as always. I got a camera a few months back and took my boys to take some pictures in front of this really cool flowering tree. When I got home I realized that something was wrong with putting my boys in front of flowers. Too bad I don’t have any girls with all the beautiful things in bloom here in SoCal right now.

Keep on blogging. Your words and thoughts are encouraging.

What I love about your children portraits Michelle is that they highlight the beauty of being a child and a little girl without being contrived. There seems to be a trend among photographers right now that presents little girls as slightly sexually evocative. They seem to be posed in a Brooke Shields “Pretty Baby” fashion and I find it slightly alarming.

I really think a child’s beauty is best presented without lipgloss and blush and without a pouty come hither look while reclining seductively on a chase lounge.

Sorry about the soap box, but I feel safe and happy when I look at your photos.

Thank you for keeping it guileless and beautiful.
