teeth, can certainly make you say silly things:
right after surgery– “Hi mom! I wuv anes-sneeze-a. It’s so nice. Do you wuv it?”
to the nurse– “How did it go?
“Just fine.” she replies.
“Wait,” he persists, “did is just go OK or super-duper?”
Driving home– “How dib I get in dis car? I don’t remember.”
“Mom, mom. You have to feel my tongue. It’s huge. C’mon you have to feel it.”
“Where are my teeth? I was going to make you a necklace. No, no, earrings for you and Mary. They were going to be really nice. Let’s go back and get my teeth. They are my teeth; they can’t keep them.”
“Why is there two of everything? It’s like there are two worlds kiss-crossing.”
Perfectly serious with his hand patting his chest, “Inside, I think I am a very sweet person.”
Slightly startled, “How dib I get in dis car? I don’t remember.”
and so it goes.
Netflix, popsicles and excellent literature are easing his recovery. And by Monday, he’ll probably be well enough to make those earrings. 😉

Oh I remember getting my wisdom teeth out. I looked like a chipmunk for a week. But the DQ hot fudge malts made up for it. I hope his recovery is quick.

I am laughing so hard! How did you manage to remember it all – verbatim?? And now it’s written down. For posterity. Or black-mail… Thanks for sharing this one Michelle. Made my day!

Another rite of passage…the wisdom teeth.
=)

He IS a very sweet person – even without those pesky teeth!
Though to be frank I’m kinda doubting he’ll remember what he’s read!

So funny. I’ll get a few laughs from my own when she has 3 teeth extracted this Thursday & then 3 more at a later date. Ugh – teeth drama. (Thanks for the tip on the Netflix & ice cream)
